Mina
Dec. 2014 – This is Mina. She’s a working woman, originally from Naples. I met her one late afternoon on a train platform in Levanto, Italy. She was on her way home in La Spezia which was good for me because I was also heading there, looking for a new suitcase. She didn’t speak a word of English. We spoke, in Italian, of our families and then both dozed. I awoke a few minutes earlier than she so snapped this quick pic. She caught up with me outside the train station, walked me to the best “trolley” shopping area and advised which stores to avoid. Super nice of her to take the time — she still had to get home and cook for her grandchildren.
