SHED YOUR SKIN OR DIE

This performance and the ensuing video were my first attempts at combining metaphysical pursuits and mundane reality in art. It has been described as being about “Women’s Work”. However, many men have voiced that they do not agree; that the work reflects their own (householder) conflicts as well.
Elements of the performance/set: pre-recorded video (Quinn/Kwan); neon (Larry Albright), spiral light machine (Foster Brashear).
