Peter Zecher studio visit (circa 1982-83)
Below is short, unedited (well, in-camera edits) footage of a preliminary video-note-taking visit to the studio of a good friend, brilliant sculptor, Peter Zecher, who untimely died at 50 and whose work may have disappeared. This video is slow in the beginning as I, with 26 lb. camera on my shoulder, try to get a perfect single shot – different angles – of a very tall sculpture; but there’s audio info within that time – conversation, etc. and one may also get an idea of how video was shot and the beauty/limitations of the time. It’s a short video, anyway, and picks up quickly after the first couple of minutes. Or one may slide the bar with the cursor further into the video to see Peter and his studio full of work.
